Twickenham Pool Site - north east corner and private
car park 07/11/04
The building in the centre, labelled "Riverside" is
the old swimming pool café, which was used by the Riverside
Play Group (now rehoused). Though boarded up, it's subject to frequent
vandalism. The derelict public toilets are
behind the low brick wall to the extreme left. The building with the
white window frames in the distance is the
former caretaker's house, now the HANDS charity's offices. The service
road runs off from the extreme right.
The private car park in the foreground, behind the Abbey building society,
is owned by Dawnay Day, who own the
buildings along this (south) side of King Street. It is not part of
the pool site, which the Council owns.
